Welcome!
STUDIO GUIDELINES & what to expect
Thanks for taking the first step to a better design experience! I’m excited to speak with you.
Before we dig into the details of your projects on our call, I thought you may want to review my business ground rules and systems. Please take a read through the below information and make note of any questions. I’d be happy to answer them on our call.

My office hours are Monday – Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (ET)
I check and respond to email during office hours — typically at 8:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., and 5 p.m.
To avoid interruptions to my schedule and other client’s project time, I ask that we schedule phone calls or video conferences ahead of time.
Dropbox Paper
I use Dropbox Paper as the primary way I share information and project communication with clients. It is a digital workspace that I believe has one of the lowest learning curves out there (and it’s free!). If you don’t have a Dropbox account already, you’ll need to register for one with your email.
Dropbox
We’ll use a Dropbox folder as a central location for any document transfers, and to communicate about proofs of your projects. We can comment directly on the files so that we don’t lose any feedback in an email thread.
Pinterest is a fantastic way to gather visual inspiration and have conversations about visual style preferences. Depending on the project, clients will be invited to join a shared board for their project, where they can add their own Pins or copy ones from my curated boards. If you don’t have an account already, you would need to register for one (it’s free) with your email.
Zoom
Throughout a project, there will be times when it is more efficient to have a quick phone call to clarify information or discuss questions. I currently use Zoom, but we could use another alternative (FaceTime, Google Duo, etc.) if needed.
2023 Pricing
The investment for Design Days is $650.
- $150 is due at booking to secure your date. This deposit is non-refundable if the scheduled day is cancelled.
- $500 is due by 8 a.m. on your scheduled Design Day.
Scheduling Design Days
Design Days are available on Wednesdays. The day goes from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (ET) and includes a half hour break.
To allow clients to gather the information and complete the needed pre-work, Design Days cannot be scheduled less than 2 weeks ahead of time. Repeat clients may be offered the opportunity to schedule a cancelled day at a shorter notice.
KICK OFF MEETING
The week before your Design Day, we’ll have Kick-Off meeting to check in on your pre-work status, and make sure we are ready to hit the ground running.
Rescheduling and cancellations
The deadline to reschedule is 48 hours before your Design Day. After that time, clients have the choice to proceed with the Design Day as scheduled, or book a new Design Day. Booking a new day will incur a new $150 booking fee.
You may cancel your Design Day at any point, but the $150 booking fee will not be refunded.
Project Timeline
Pre-project
After our Intro Call, you’ll receive a proposal, contract and invoice for booking deposit. Once those items are squared away, we start the Discovery Phase.
Discovery
Clients must complete the Brand Blueprint Workbook, which is designed to help me understand your business, your goals, and what you’re hoping for with your new brand identity. Another important part of this process is collaborating with me on an inspiration board. I like Pinterest for this process, but any method can be used to collect and discuss inspiration for your project.
